Day 2

Posted on

Well Dash is just a cute as can be. he is so quiet and loving and jsut wants to be cuddled and patted. Another good night last night with not a peep to be heard form him. He has been outside for a lot of the day, and it is great becaseu the girls go out to play with him. He is suddenly an attraction rather than the TV! Jus and I went to Dog training this monning and I learnt a lot about dog behaviour and what makes them act obediently. It is all farily basic stuff – just like training a toddler how to behave nicely!! I think Justin got a lot out of it as well, and even in the way that he now related to the kids he is looking at things from a different point of view. All around a big success I would say.

This afternoon we took Dash over to met Matt and Penny’s puppy Molly. Molly is a Labrador and just huge and rambuncious. Dash was terrified (actually I was too!!) and she did a poo in their kitchen. How much was I embarrassed??? and then Jessica did one, so I had to change her nappy. Talk about a Freeman mess factory!

On the way beack we stopped off to see Mum and Dad. My Dad is the most anti-pet person on the earth, so I was a bit anxious about his reaction. I could tell he was not impressed with the presence of Dash, but now he is part of our family and needs acceptance just like any of us!! I suppose it will take time for Dad to get used to him. Just like me he has never had a pet, so this foreign territory and not a thing that he would have done. Mum was good, she had a little pat.

Dash is now in his kennal with a bone and no matter how much we call him and coax him he won’t come inside!! He must be happy.
