Meg starting yr 5, Jess in yr 3 and Amy yr 1.
Big day for Holly who started High School today. Very excited, full of nerves, but keen as mustard to get there. me….not so much!
Jess and I in Holbrook at the big submarine. On our way to Melb to catch the boat over to Tas to spend a week with Brian and Tania.
Goodbye Melbourne! Had a quick pop in to see Gavin and Louisa on the way through.
Jess and Meg in our room. It was a bumpy night!
At Kingston Beach with Tania, Bronte and Julia.
On the way home the boat was delayed leaving Devonport, so we sat in the local RSL, had a cheap Roast dinner then played monopoly for a few hours. Daggiest family on the entire world!! Great time in Tassie though. Tand B have a beautiful new house, made pretty much all by Tania. jusitn and I went for a walk/run every morning. We went out to Taste festival in Hobart, Port Arthur, Mt Wellington (windiest place on earth) , Botanic Gardens and lots of other lovely places. Tania cooked up a storm for us and I spent the next few weeks working out to get rid of the kilos!! Awesome holiday. Did I mention we had to leave Amy at home because our big car is out of action. We had to take the little hyundai, so no room for Amy. She was capably looked after by James and Sascha, then Kate, then Nanna and Pa. Bless you all for having her.
Latest running thing in Australia is parkrun, a free timed 5km event every saturday. Here in Canberra it is run at Lake Ginninderra and I’ve been about 8 times. My current personal best time is 24.54. Finding it challenging to beat that. On Australia Day Holly and I volunteered, and we dressed up a little to salute the day.
Grandma turned 90 in Nov last year and had a little morning tea at her retirement village for her 24 great grandchildren. All the cousins had a great time mucking round, singing songs, dancing and having special cuddles with Great Grandma Mary.
