Found this recipe on FB this morning and decided to make it for breakfast. it was yummo. Puff pastry with cracked eggs and chorizo with a splash of red capsicum on the top. Baked for about 25 minutes and it was delish.
Baking is my thing. I love it.
I made these! We have the school fete (Charny Carny) coming up next week so i thought I’d make something different for the cake stall this year. These funny little bugs are kinda cute and simple to put together.
Jaffas for the eyes, liquorice allsorts for the body and clinkers for the legs. Wrap up in a piece of cling film then tie it all together with a pipe-cleaner. Couldn’t be easier!
I made these biscuits this morning. Vanillakipferls. Whenever I see them I think of Grandma – she used to make them all the time and we devoured them. Buttery and almondy. Delicious. So I cranked out this lot and took some over to her for her afternoon tea. She was delighted. However, since I am on this no-sugar thing (one week down) I couldn’t sample them so I don’t know if they were true to form or not. Fingers crossed they were just like hers and made her remember the good old days like I did.
Ok, just made this yummy cake. it is very light and fluffy and I reckon would be even more delicious with a hint of lemon zest. I’m going to add that next time. Here is the link.
This next project underway is called Larksfoot and I found it here. I like it. Easy to churn through the rows and makes a nice thick weave. I’m doing this one for a birthday present.
This pattern is called ‘larksfoot’ and I really like how it is progressing.
Before
Bacon covered meatloaf.
With homemade gingersnap sandwiches (ice cream in the middle).
And I found these great knives at Target. We have a continuous argument in this house about which knife to use certain things. Now it is written on the knife…can’t go wrong. And they are a great colour too. Love them.
Happy Fathers day to all you super duper dads out there. Xx
