I’m chuffed with how the border turned out. It was a bit of a mystery until the last minute, but looks good I think, nice and sturdy for a baby blanket. Now we just need the baby!

The dress is slightly off white and it was a bit too chilly to go bare-legged, so we thought a pair of leggings would go well. How hard is it to find cream leggings? I’ll tell you…impossible. So in a bit of desperation, we got a white pair and soaked them in a warm tub of tea for about half an hour, and hey presto, creamy leggings! They were a perfect match. Dress is from valley girl, taken in at the top and sides to fit miss petite.

Posted onSweet dessert
Posted onIt is one of those cold, rainy, wintery nights and I just feel like some yummy dessert. Thought I’d make some apple pies…easy way of course.
Using shop puff pastry sheets, cut them into quarters and brush with some melted butter. Sprinkle lightly with a brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Plonk on some tinned apples.
Then turn over the pastry from one corner to the other, and press down the side with a fork. Place on a baking tray. Brush again with melted butter and sprinkle a little extra sugar on the top.
Whack them in the oven till they are browned and crispy. Serve with custard or ice cream, or both!
