We finished the Half Marathon third leg this morning. It was warmer today -> 7C, nearly had to take my jumper off! Meg is a good little pacer. She pushed me to run faster than I thought I could and she proved to herself that she can run a longer than 5km distance and back it up over 3 days. I am very proud of us both and actually got quite emotional at the finish. Justin was at the end point with the girls, they had made a sign and had a ribbon across the path. We ran to the line and crashed through the ribbon like the winners of a marathon. Then Amy and Jess presented us with our medals. It was a lovely family moment.
After that, we headed over to Cafe Injoy for a big breakfast to satisfy our hungry and worn out selves. It was perfect.
great Challenge and well achieved.
This is a once in a lifetime photo that was taken of Renee and I while we were running one morning. We passed a girl who was a friend of Nay’s sister and she took this photo. Great light with the silhouette of us. I just love it.
I love it when the postie comes with deliveries. Today I got a new stash of wool to start another project (above), and this fab t shirt below from the UK. Don’t forget your barcode is the mantra for parkrun.
Happy dancing right now.
I gave out some petty cool parkrun tokens for christmas. They replace the tattered and sweaty laminated ones we’ve had for ages. And they worked perfectly. We ran tuggeranong last Saturday, i did a 26.05, and the barcodes worked a treat. Here were are celebrating after the finish.
Got myself along to Carine parkrun while in Perth. 26.48mins for the 5km. Hot and muggy, but fun 🙂
Have always wanted to do this beach walk when we’ve been in Perth. This time, no kids and plenty of hours to do it. We walked up, had breakfast at a cafe and then walked back agein. Blissful and an amazing view. Just after this I got a bee sting!
Today i met Renee for our weekly run.
ME: I just got denorub in my eye.
Me: Yes, but you are looking so hot right now!
We laughed and laughed. Great start to the day.
