Melbourne

I really need a weekend away! As much as I have enjoyed the holidays, I am going a little spare repeating the same phrases over and over throughout the day. My daily word allowance is taken up with the repetition of things along the following lines….

– why did you do that?
– don’t hit her
– don’t touch her
– don’t even look at her
– sit on your bottom not on you knees
– she wee’d where?
– please don’t dob
– please don’t whinge
– please don’t cry
I’m going to cry if you do that again.
– No, (insert friends name here) cannot come over again today.

I think you get the idea! I have taken to roaring like a lion to release the stress rather than keep it internal 🙂

So tomorrow when we get to Melbourne and we all have no children for 3 whole days we are going wild. DFO watch out – we are headed you way and we are unleashed and possibly dangerous.

  1. Have fun in Melbourne – can I squeeze in your suitcase (please…..) David has started to walk – yay!!! But he is still not talking (at all….) but knows EXACTLY what he wants so he just screams till he gets it. I thought I was lucky to escape the terrible 2’s but I am thinking its the terrible 3’s – Heidi seems to cry on an average every 10 minutes I think – Arhhhhh. Can’t wait for playschool to start and am SO looking forward to working Tuesdays this year – a day out!!!
Enjoy your break and “shop it up” 🙂

  2. I think I know all those phrases. Except that (insert friend’s name here) is Bella, who is an imaginary friend. And Sophia wants to go to her house for a sleepover.

  3. I visited the other day and was too lazy to write .. Oh I hear ya about the conversation! And that is only after weekends – I’m working at the moment so don’t hear it during the day. I will next week when I’m on leave again! Would love to catch up. How was Melbourne?!
