Spring is in the air and today I went out for lunch with a bunch of women to celebrate my friends 35th birthday. Her husband cooked up an amazing 3 course meal and we had champagne and wine and coffee. Most of the people there had never met before, so we played an ice-breaker where each person had to tell 2 truths and a lie and everyone else had to guess what the lie was. It really provoked a lot of intersting conversations and I was astounded by the amazing lives these seemingly everyday kind of women had led. In turn they were intrigued with my life, so I guess I have done some some pretty good things and have a few good stories to tell after all.

I am still in the midst of doing a scrapbook layout of the day. I journalled (after raving about the friends and the food): “The only disappointment of the occasion was realising at the end that there were no photographs taken; but to my delight, Fran included it in her blog” – and I have included your blog entry as well, printed out on parchment.
